Community Connections Volunteer Program

Program Description

The Community Connections Volunteer Program (CCVP) connects newcomers with the community through networking and other activities that support cross-cultural awareness and informal language learning.

By matching singles or families with volunteers, newcomers receive welcome support during initial adjustment to their new life in Canada.

Opportunities are open for newcomers as well as new volunteers.

Am I eligible?

Permanent residents or live in caregivers who have lived in Canada for 3 years or less are eligible for matched support.

To volunteer you must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident who has resided in Canada over two years.

All new volunteers are required to complete a screening and orientation process. To be matched with an individual or family you will be asked to:

All services can be accessed at our office at 1107 2 Ave A North, Lethbridge. Some program activities may take place at other facilities/partner organizations.
