Current Projects
Lethbridge Family Services has a variety of permanent and temporary projects and initiatives that would not succeed without community support. It is thanks to the generosity of our donors and funders that we are able to undertake so many important projects in our community.
When you or your organization donates to LFS, you have the option to choose between donating to our general fund, or donating to a particular initiative that is important to you. To learn more about these initiatives, click the thumbnails below for the ones that interest you!

Girls Group
At LFS, we love cross-cultural connections! The LFS Girls Group program is a way for newcomer, Indigenous, and settler girls alike to find belonging and make connections to their community.
Patient Slings for DaCapo Disability Services Clients
Patient slings are crucial for assisting individuals with limited mobility to fully participate in their daily programs. We need to replace our aging lift slings that are used daily to safely support the many individuals with mobility needs we serve.
Safe & Sensory Space for Individuals with Disabilities
Our sensory space is tailored to calm, soothe, or stimulate DaCapo Disability Services clients who deal with anxiety, hypersensitivity, or other sensory concerns. But it’s in need of major renovations!
Welcome Wagons for Newcomer Families
Without cars, our newcomer families rely on wagons to transport groceries and small children while walking or taking public transit.
Angel Tree Christmas Campaign
Since 1992, our goal has been to ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of Christmas. We want to help as many families in need as possible, and this can only be accomplished with your help!
Training Equipment for Home Care Services
The emotional and practical support provided by HCAs is invaluable in maintaining quality of life. Through continuously updated training, LFS Health Care Aides bring their extensive knowledge to their clients, and respect for every individual they serve.
