Patient Slings for DaCapo Disability Services Clients
Lifted with care. Living with dignity.
Patient lift slings are essential for assisting individuals with limited mobility in safely transferring between wheelchairs, beds, toilets, and activity spaces, enabling them to fully participate in their daily programs. We need to replace our aging lift slings that are used daily to safely support the many individuals with mobility needs we serve.
Our current slings are used for up to six hours a day and have reached the end of their useful life. Replacing them will improve safety, comfort, and dignity for participants and reduce the risk of injury for both clients and support staff.
Most importantly, new slings will help ensure individuals can continue to enjoy meaningful daily activities that promote physical health, mental wellness, and social connection. Rather than limiting participation because of mobility challenges, these essential supports enable clients to engage in recreation, life-skills programming, personal care, and community experiences with greater confidence and independence.
This investment is about more than replacing equipment; it is about preserving quality of life, promoting inclusion, and ensuring every person we support can participate safely, comfortably, and with dignity every day.
Our goal of $7,000 will purchase 6 new patient slings for our facility.
