Our Girls Group program supports local girls to develop confidence and a positive sense of identity. It’s open to any girls aged 10–18, and helps prepare them to be active members of their communities by:
Building confidence, making friends, and learning new skills.
Cultivating a safe space to grow, lead, and succeed alongside their peers.
Discovering their talents and becoming leaders.
In spaces where they feel safe, nurtured, and mentored, our free program for girls runs every week at the LFS main office.
October Girls Group Schedule
Friday, October 9, 1:00 pm–3:30 pm
Girls-only sports with YouthOne starting at 1:00, at the Park Meadows Church Gym, 2011 15th Avenue North. If you need help to get there, come to the LFS Main Building, 1107 2A Avenue North, before 1:30 pm.
Friday, October 16, 1:30 pm–3:30 pm
Make your own charcuterie board, planning for Fall Fair, and activities with nursing students. Meet at LFS Main Building, 1107 2A Avenue North.
Friday, October 23, 1:30 pm–3:30 pm
Fall Family Fun Fair, Girls Group will host activities for new families. Meet at LFS Angel Tree Building, 920 2A Avenue North, unit 108.
Friday, October 30, 2:15 pm–3:15 pm
Women and Girls Only Swim at Stan Siwik Pool, 1901 15th Avenue North. Meet at the pool.
