“We are so fortunate to have so many community partners that have contributed to the transformation of this space including DuPont-Pioneer and Stantec. Without the help of all of the volunteers, contractors, suppliers, and the public, this project would not have been able to happen. Thank you seems inadequate for the overwhelming gratitude we feel for everyone involved in this project, but it will have to suffice to express our heartfelt appreciation. “Says Melody Garner, Director Advancement & Community Relations.
The generosity of Southern Alberta business people is alive and well with the Garden for Growth. It is anticipated that the project total will be close to $75,000. All of that total has been donated except for $5,000. DuPont-Pioneer kicked off the project with a $5,000 grant that was used to build the planters for the garden. Stantec then joined in and provided free design, consultation, and volunteer labor to build the garden which totals thousands of dollars of donated time, and labor. Add local landscapers like Bos Scapes, contractors like Pete Waldner, suppliers like Lafarge, Logic Lumber, and Scenic Square Landscaping Center plus countless others whom donated items and goods for the Garden and you have an amazing community project which will change lives.
