LINK Services and Groups

“If we think about ourselves as a tree, we can imagine the idea that as we grow, we gain more experience, which adds rings to our trunk. This trunk represents our emotional self, while the roots of our tree portray our physical self that grounds us to the earth. The branches indicate our intellectual selves, showing that as we learn, we reach out further into the world. We should understand ourselves as this essential part of life, because when we work as a community, we can support life and provide a home and for everything and everyone around us.”

LINK Services

The primary goals of LINK Services are to support older adults in their ability to age well in their homes, increase their utilization of services and resources, and promote connections to the community. This can involve working in collaboration with professionals to support seamless access to services or doing one-on-one appointments with the LINK Worker. Our services are primarily for adults aged 55+ who are living in the Crowsnest Pass and Pincher Creek areas. Meetings with the LINK Worker are client-focused and empowering, helping individuals feel more secure, independent, and supported in their lives.

Services can include navigation and referrals to:

  • housing

  • food security

  • healthcare

  • transportation

  • social/recreational supports

  • financial/legal services

  • mental health support

  • and much more
