We are only able to provide the programs, events, and support to our children, youth, and families in the southwestern Alberta region because of the help of our volunteers. Volunteers make such a positive difference for those we serve. Our 550+ volunteers give of their time, talents and hearts to LFS—and it means the world to us.

Lethbridge Family Services has all kinds of public events and community collaborations throughout the year where you can get out and mingle with the Lethbridge community!
Become a Career Mentor
The Lethbridge Family Services Career Mentorship Program matches local professionals and internationally educated newcomers who share similar professional and/or educational backgrounds.
Become a Friend to Newcomers
The Community Connections Program matches volunteers with newcomer families to help them integrate through one-on-one support, including how to go to the bank and the grocery store, or offering peer support and guidance around employment or schooling.
Volunteer for a Conversation Circle
Our Women’s and Men’s Conversation Circles provide opportunities for newcomers to come together weekly for gender-specific support, connect with others in similar situations, and alleviate loneliness while arriving at solutions to apply to everyday living in Canada.
Volunteer for Angel Tree
We invite you to help us spread holiday joy and create happy memories for our Angel Tree families and the 3,600+ children we expect to serve each year. We invite you into our Christmas tradition by becoming a volunteer!
