This is what Lethbridge Family Services is doing for the month of March with their first annual March 2 A Different Beat Fundraising Campaign to support the youth programming the agency provides to deal with these situations. Lethbridge Family Services has been providing support and services to Lethbridge and Southern Alberta since 1910 with a mission of improving the well-being and quality of life for individuals and families. Members of LFS including staff and volunteers are willing to volunteer for an hour at your business or organization for a$50 donation to Lethbridge Family Services to support the youth programming of the agency. The goal of the campaign is to raise $15,000.
“Lethbridge Family Services believes in building the community and that is why we want to reach out to the community and become involved while raising funds for our youth programming.” –Melody Garner, Fund Development Director with LFS. “We know that the community is important in helping youth find ways to make a better life, so we want to help out the community.”
Individuals, businesses, and organizations can get involved in a couple of ways; either host a member of the LFS team at their place for an hour of work for a $50 donation and receive a tax receipt, or donate online by visiting us at www.lfsfamily.ca and selecting the Donate Now Button. We have some partnerships established already such as our Launch Event Sponsor, Emco/The Ensuite who is donating $1,000 and will have 3 members of the Lethbridge Family Services Crew working for them the morning of March 4th after the kickoff event.
“Our company believes that youth are the future of our world and that we must help ensure they have the tools and supports they need to have a great life. We are happy to partner with Lethbridge Family Services to help support their youth programs and we encourage Lethbridge businesses to get involved by making a donation or hosting someone at their workplace..”- Anita Hartman, General Manager of Emco Lethbridge.
The campaign will run from March 3-31st and if you would like to participate by hosting someone at your work, please contact Melody Garner at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (403) 327-5724. There is also a launch event that will be held at Emco that the press is invited to and the details are below.
