Last year over 1,700 children experienced this joy on Christmas morning, which campaign organizers estimated was worth $65,000 in donations. Individuals, businesses, and community organizations can participate by purchasing a gift, making a cash donation, signing up to be an Angel Tree community partner, or helping out at the community wrapping party on December 13th. Campaign supporters can also encourage donations at their company Christmas party, through a neighborhood toy round up, or by having their kids’ sports teams collect gifts. The top ten items that the campaign is looking for are; Lego (ages 6-14), Action Figures/Super Heroes, Makeup Kits/Nail Polish, Art/Craft Sets, iTunes Gift Cards, EB Games Gift Cards, Sports Equipment, Pajamas and Winter Clothing, Leap Frog items, and Ardene’s or Claire’s Gift cards.
