Angel Tree Christmas Campaign Official Launch

Lethbridge – We are officially launching the 28th annual Angel Tree Christmas Campaign on Friday, November 13, 2020 in a smaller celebration than past, with spirit just as big! Date and Time: Friday, November 13, 2020 – 1:00 pm Location: Melcor Centre, 2nd level, Unit #240 – 200 4th Ave S (enter from 5 Ave or 5 St Entrance) COVID protocols: Please wear masks. The space is big enough for social distancing In attendance: Sandra Mintz, CEO of LFS; Ms. Nahid Hassan, Branch manager, 1st Choice Savings & Credit Union; Trina Tymko, Angel Tree Committee Chair; and volunteers from Cornerstone Funeral Home.
Angel Tree makes miracles happen with enormous community support, spirit of generosity and the continued kindheartedness of Lethbridge and area. We will need a lot of help to fulfill the need we expect will increase this year. An estimated 2600 children, 0 – 18 years old will find gift bundles waiting for them on Christmas morning this year. Each gift bundle is carefully packed for every child with:

In response to the current changing environment, we have provided so many options for our donors, families, and volunteers this year! Everyone has a choice to participate, with a few changes, as they did in past years or try our brand new virtual options. Go to www.lfsfamily.ca for everything Angel Tree.
Thanks to the generosity and volunteering efforts of the team at 1st Choice Savings and Credit Union, who have supported Angel Tree for an incredible 18 years, they will kick off our fundraising campaign with a gift of $5000. This year, with many businesses unable to participate, they will be our main drop off locations and will be accepting new toys and cash donations at their six branches:
