An Important Update on Lethbridge Family Services

Lethbridge, AB

The COVID-19 situation is evolving in Lethbridge. Lethbridge Family Services was notified that positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at the LFS North office: 1107 2A Ave North. With these few cases confirmed, LFS closed our North office on Friday, in addition to today, out of an abundance of caution.
We have taken all necessary precautions:
  • Since March 2020, LFS has practiced strict COVID-19 protocols recommended by Alberta Health Services and Health Canada.
  • Since March 2020, all three North office LFS Departments have been working in tight containment, separated from contact with other Departments.
  • A 2-day deep clean and sanitization was completed at our North facility, 2A Avenue North this past weekend.
We will continue to be honest with our employees, clients, and the community. Every effort is being taken. We are working closely with Alberta Health Services to assist them with contact tracing.

We do know despite the strictest protocols on physical distancing, masking, hand sanitization, and cleaning, we can see how easily this virus can still seize any opportunity. There is much attention in the community on how low the case counts have been. This is dangerous and invites complacency. People must be vigilant with following public health guidance as cases are rising everywhere.
Lethbridge Family Services will continue to demonstrate care and compassion to our colleagues as we work through this situation together.
