Current Projects
Lethbridge Family Services has a variety of permanent and temporary projects and initiatives that would not succeed without community support. It is thanks to the generosity of our donors and funders that we are able to undertake so many important projects in our community.
When you or your organization donates to LFS, you have the option to choose between donating to our general fund, or donating to a particular initiative that is important to you. To learn more about these initiatives, click the thumbnails below for the ones that interest you!

Newcomer Girls Group
In spaces they feel safe, nurtured, and mentored, our free program for newcomer female youth will run every Friday afternoon.
Angel Tree
Since 1992, the Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree Christmas campaign's goal has been to ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of Christmas. We want to help as many families in need as possible, and this can only be accomplished with your help.
Backpacks for Safety Project
Each ‘Backpack for Safety’ will be provided to adults (and their children) forced to leave their home as a result of domestic violence. A backpack containing high quality products underscores our understanding of the importance of feeling comforted and worthy in a crisis.
Newcomer Women's Group
The Newcomer Women’s Group empowers participants to build friendships and gain a better understanding of our community through social, cultural, and outdoor activities.
Ceiling Lift Walking Track System and Mobility Harness
Walking is the basis of mobility. For many of our mobility-challenged clients, walking is independence and joy. And this ability to move around the facility with assistive devices like a ceiling lift walking track system, provides dignity.
